Balloon vs Floral Backdrop: Which to Book in San Jose
Choose balloons for birthdays, grand openings, and photo walls that need a big color block on a budget. Choose florals when the backdrop has to match a wedding or Lễ Gia Tiên and will be in every formal portrait. Balloon backdrops start at $650 (1 panel), $750 (2 panels), and $950+ (3 panels). A floral photo backdrop is usually part of a wedding decoration package starting at $6,500, not a $650 add-on.

Balloon backdrop — best when
- The event is a birthday, baby shower, grand opening, or school / company photo wall.
- You want a custom color palette and a wide wall without the cost of fresh flowers.
- The venue allows balloons and has a flat wall or pipe-and-drape we can dress.
Setup and teardown are included. Delivery is included in the San Jose area. Theme add-ons are available; some small theme pieces are free depending on what we have in the studio that week — we do not promise a specific free prop in writing until we confirm stock.
Floral backdrop — best when
- It is a wedding ceremony, sweetheart-table wall, or Lễ Gia Tiên named backdrop.
- The same flowers need to repeat on the aisle, centerpieces, or bouquet.
- You want silk, mixed, or all-fresh and the package already covers a photo backdrop.
Basic wedding décor ($6,500) uses silk for almost the entire install, including the photo backdrop. Medium ($7,500) mixes silk and fresh. Advanced ($10,000+) is custom, all-fresh. The Gia Tiên package ($1,600) includes a named backdrop in the tea-ceremony palette — typically red and gold, not a balloon wall.
Can you mix both?
Yes, for some birthdays and grand openings. We do not put a balloon wall behind a traditional ancestral altar. If you want both at a wedding reception, say so in the quote — it is a custom line, not a hidden default.
